Summary of AdeptVision Changes

This section provides a summary of the software changes made to AdeptVision VXL after version 12.1 was released. Each of these items is described in detail later in this chapter.

ObjectFinder Changes

The ObjectFinder was enhanced to provide new features and better performance during refinement and learning. Also, the ObjectFinder model file format was changed so that models created in version 12.3 and later will be compatible with future versions of AdeptVision. See ObjectFinder Enhancements for details. See Appendix C of the AdeptVision User's Guide for an overview of the ObjectFinder.

Other Vision Changes

Vision tasks are now scheduled so that they do not interfere with the tasks that update the image data for AdeptWindows.

Keyword Changes

The following AdeptVision keywords were changed:

VCOPY (cam, scale, dmode, lut) dest_ibr = src_ibr (program instruction) - New syntax and VCOPY modes (zooming and custom LUTs). See This Topic.

VFEATURE (index) (real-valued function) - A new value is returned from VFEATURE when used after VSHOW for ObjectFinder models. See ITEM 11 on This Topic.

VFINDER (cam, mode, dmode, how_many_total {, times[]}) ibr (real-valued function) - Two new types (Learning mode and Automatic Multi-Instance Training mode) have been added in support of automatic learning during recognition. See This Topic.
